I followed instructions from this website: www(dot)onetransistor(dot)eu(slash)2021(slash)12(slash)update-grbl-firmware-on-cnc-3018-pro.html Download AVRDUDE and AVRDUDESS programs. You may need to update .NET. Download latest GRBL version from github(dot)com(slash)gnea(slash)grbl(slash)releases(slash)latest - select the HEX file. Run AVRDUDESS and select Programmer (Arduino), Port (your com port), Baud rate (57600), MCU (ATmega328P). Click Detect to ensure it is communicating. In the Flash section select your downloaded HEX file, select Write, Format (Auto - writing only) and click GO. Hope this helps.
